Thai pork price to resume normalcy

Thailand's pork price scenario will regain normalcy within two months, according to the Permanent Secretary for Commerce Yanyong Phuangrach.

Yanyong stated that the majority of butchers are selling pork at a regulated price while price of live pigs at farms has dropped below THB80/kg (US$2.67) currently. He said the ministry of commerce will consider reducing the regulated pork price if pig price falls continuously.

The permanent secretary expected that expensive pork price will return to normalcy in the next two months after it has been high for a period of time.
