Ukraine's August cattle, pig count falls on-year
On August 1, Ukraine's cattle number totalled 5.22 million, 3.8% less than on the same period as last year, the state statistics committee said Tuesday (Aug 16).
The number of cows on the date was 2.65 million, 3.5% less than a year ago.
The number of pigs fell by 2.8% on the year to 8.08 million and the number of poultry increased by 1.4% to 238.36 million.
