Lysine market stable in China but upward scope limited

Lysine prices stayed flat during the week ending August 15.

Demand from lysine softened as famers withheld buying while soymeal prices were low and feed demand was slack. However, producers stood firm with supplies limited due to production halts.

Price quotes of 70-percent lysine were in the range of RMB5.20-5.80/kg.

RMB1=US$0.1507 (Aug 16)
