Vietnam's MPC reports export revenue of US$162 million in January-July
Minh Phu Seafood Corporation (MPC), Vietnam's top shrimp exporter, raked in US$162 million from overseas shipments in the first seven months of this year, up 58.74% from the same period last year.
MPC exported over 13,468 tonnes of shrimp during the period, up 34.88% on year, the firm said on its website.
In July, it exported over 2,200 tonnes of shrimp, making revenues of US$27.9 million.
The Hochiminh Stock Exchange-listed company plans to issue 30 million new shares or convertible bonds in 2011-2012 in a move to hike its capital base to VND1 trillion (US$ 48.5 million) from current VND700 billion (US$34 million).
