Ukraine ups meat exports by almost 90%

 

 

Exports of Ukrainian meat to foreign markets in the first half of 2011 rose by almost 90% compared to last year, according to the State Statistics Service.

 

Exports of meat and offal from Ukraine in the first half of 2011 grew by 89.7% over the same period of 2010. In all, the product was exported at US$95,696.8 million.

 

Despite 41.4% decline in imports, the amount of supplies to Ukraine exceeded the amount of exports- US$111,174.8 million.

 

Exports of milk and dairy products, eggs, poultry, honey went up by 8.8% to US$33,684.6 million, imports grew by 16.9% to reach US$60,380.7 million.
