Russia's Novorossiysk grain centre ships above 330,000-tonne grains

 

 

The Novorossiysk Center of Grain Production of Russia exported more than 330,000 tonnes of grains in July 2011, the press-service of OJSC United Grain Company stated.

 

According to the press service, in the first month after cancellation of the embargo on grain exports, the capacities of the enterprise for export shipment of grains were not involved at full extent, due to the need for final adjustments of the enterprise equipment upgrades, said Sergey Shilov, General Director of JSC Novorossiysk Center of Grain Production.

 

Until the end of 2011/12 agricultural year, Novorossiysk Center of Grain Production plans to export at least four million tonnes of grains.

 

Besides, in July the grain-processing complex of the enterprise continued operating at full capacity. In July the enterprise produced over 4,000 tonnes of flour.

 

As a reminder, in the season-2008/09 OJSC Novorossiysk Center of Grain Production exported 3.55 million tonnes of grains, which totaled 15.8% of all-Russian exports. The volume of grain transhipment for export to from the enterprise in the period from January 1 to August 15, 2010 totalled 2.16 million tonnes.

 

In accordance with the Decree by Dmitry Medvedev, President of the Russian Federation, dd. March 20, 2009, the authorized capital of OJSC United Grain Company received 50.99% of shares of OJSC Novorossiysk Center of Grain Production which were state owned.
