Ukrainian grain export to hit 24 million tonnes

The grain export potential of Ukraine will reach 24 million tonnes this year, according to Prime Minister Mykola Azarov during his working visit to Zaporizhia region.

"Export potential of Ukraine in this year will hit 24 million tonnes", he said.

He noted that as a result of cooperation with Russia and Kazakhstan, it will be possible to cover a quarter of the world grain market.

The prime minister informed that in 2011 Ukraine counts on a grain yield at a rate of 50 million tonnes.
