China's 2011 soy crushing capacity hit 100 million tonnes
China will add 12.3 million tonnes of soy crushing capacity in 2011 to raise the country's total soy processing capacity to around 100 million tonnes, the China National Grain and Oils Information Centre said Friday (Aug 12).
The centre also estimated China will process 55 million tonnes of soy this year, which would represent an operation ratio of about 55%, down from last year's 64.9% and 61.9% in 2009.
