China on Friday (Aug 12) lifted its output forecast for corn this year by 3% on-year to 182.5 million tonnes, compared with a July estimate of 181.5 million tonnes.

Wheat output is likely to rise for the full year by 1.4% to 116.8 million tonnes, the state-backed China National Grain and Oils Information Centre (CNGOIC) said in a report.

The CNGOIC revised down this year's soy output forecast to 13.5 million tonnes, down 11% from a year earlier, compared with a decrease of 7.9% to 14 million tonnes in July.

Rapeseed output is forecast to fall 4.5% to 12.5 million tonnes, compared with 12.8 million tonnes in July, the centre said.
