Fangchenggang City in Beibu Gulf is fast becoming the hub for China's large processing enterprises that use imported soy, traders reported.

The city, located in China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, has a large-scale shipping industry ideal for large soy processors.

Companies there included Dahai Grain and Oil Industry (Fangchenggang) Co., Ltd, with a daily processing capacity of 7,500 tonnes. Huiyu Feedstuff Protein (Fangchenggang) Co., Ltd, also has a 5,000-tonne per day facility in Fangchenggang which began operations in June.
