Ukraine's early 2011 grain output to reach 34 million tonnes
Ukraine's general production of early grains in 2011 will amount to 34 million tonnes, Nikholai Prysiazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, estimated on August 10.
According to him, agrarians of Ukraine still have to harvest early grains throughout the remaining areas of 500,000 ha.
As a reminder, previously the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine forecasted the growth of grain production in the current year to the level of 47.4 million tonnes against 39.3 million tonnes in 2010.
According to estimations of analysts, in particular in the current year the production volumes of late grains, including maize, will reach the level of nearly 18 million tonnes.
