Australia's beef exports to US drop 28 percent in July
Australia's beef shipments to the US dropped by 28 percent in July to 17,461 tonnes swt.
So far this year, the country's exports to the US are 35-percent below year-ago volumes at 116,999 tonnes swt. From January to July, exports of 90CL were down 31 percent at 40,788 tonnes swt while 85CL exports were also lower by 27 percent at 8,175 tonnes swt
The US imported beef market was also weaker this week, with beef prices easing back as the Australian dollar fell and trading volumes were lighter.
