Market weakens as Chinese buyers see no reason to stock lysine

Lysine prices stable to lower during the week ending August 8.

Feed millers were not keen to accumulate lysine inventories with soymeal prices tumbling, hog feed consumption slow and lysine producers who halted operation for maintenance expected to resume production soon.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine softened to the range of RMB9.20-9.50/kg.

Lysine market will be under pressure as buyers hold back purchases.
