Western Australia set to ship live cattle to Indonesia
Western Australia-based International Livestock Exports (ILE) has two live-cattle export shipments heading for Indonesia this month.
ILE managing director Mike Stanton says the first shipment is scheduled to leave Broome as early as this weekend, and the next ship is earmarked to depart Wyndham on August 20.
While the company has submitted its notice of intention to export to the Federal Government, it is yet to receive final government approval, but the company is confident it will get the green light and has started sourcing cattle to fill the ships.
