Goa, India, sees no LSD cases among cattle in current fiscal year

 

 

 

The animal husbandry department of Goa, India, announced that no cases of lumpy skin disease (LSD) in cattle have been reported for the current fiscal year till June 2024.

 

This was revealed by minister for animal husbandry and veterinary services Nilkanth Halarnkar in a legislative assembly question on July 31.

 

Previously, there were 37 cases in 2022-2023 and 16 cases in 2023-2024. The department's success is attributed to comprehensive disease management and prevention.
