WBD unit pays US$72,000 fine for excessive milk prices
Sibirskoye Moloko, a unit of Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods (WBD), has paid a RUB2.059 million (US$72,000) fine for setting excessive milk prices, a spokesperson for the Novosibirsk Region branch of the Federal Antimonopoly Service said Friday (Aug 5).
The Russian dairy product and fruit juice maker's branch found that Sibirskoye Moloko had been setting excessive prices for milk produced under the Vesyoly Molochnik brand name, and imposed the fine in October 2010.
Later, WBD applied to an arbitration court, but failed to void the antitrust decision.
