China's agricultural product prices decline for fourth straight week

 
 

The edible agricultural product prices in 36 medium and large Chinese cities dropped by 0.4 percent, the fourth week in a row that prices have declined, according to data released by the Ministry of Commerce on August 5th.

 

Among the 57 types of major products, 36 saw price declines, 7 had their prices unchanged over the previous week, while the remaining 14 rose.

 

Overall meat prices declined, with the wholesale prices of pork, beef and mutton slipping by 0.4 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.6 percent respectively in the period.
