Sommet de L'elevage to mark 25th anniverary
Sommet de L'elevage will mark its 25th anniversary this year from October 5 to 7 at the Grande Halle d'Auvergne exhibition centre in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
25 years ago, the Sommet de L'elevage (Livestock Summit) opened its doors in Clermont-Ferrand at the heart of the biggest area of natural rangeland in Europe, with a mission to showcase the Massif Central's native beef breeds.
Today, the world-leading trade show for the beef sector also serves as a leading national forum for dairy cow breeders in rugged climate zones, showcasing French knowhow in livestock production, breeding and breed genetics.
This year's event would see 2,000 rigorously-pedigreed animals, 1,400 exhibitors and over 85,000 visitors.
