US sells 174,000 tonnes of soy to China
Private exporters reported that 174,000 tonnes of soy were delivered to China during the 2011/12 marketing year, according to the USDA on Thursday (Aug 4).
The 2011/12 marketing year for soy begins September 1.
US exporters are required to report to the USDA any export sales activity of 100,000 tonnes or more of one commodity made in one day or quantities totalling 200,000 tonnes or more in any reporting period to one destination, according to the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service.
Any export sales under these quantities must be reported on a weekly basis.
