A'Saffa Poultry Farms to expand
Oman-based A'Saffa Poultry Farms has started on a OMR 9.3 million (US$24.16 million) expansion project.
Equipment and machinery contracts have been finalised and excavation is underway. The expansion will take eight months to complete and it will upgrade, expand and increase production capacity by 50 percent, doubling egg production from 10 million to 20 million eggs per year.
The farm currently processes 34,000 birds per day but will increase to 51,000 birds after the expansion.
