Koziatyn's Q2 production surges

 

 

The Koziatyn poultry farm's (Koziatyn, Vinnytsia region) output in Q2 advanced by 83.02% or 1,462 tonnes in contrast to the same period last year, to 3,223 tonnes.

 

Comparing with the first quarter, the output grew by 63.11% or 1,247 tonnes.

 

In particular, in the second quarter, the Koziatyn poultry farm raised meat output by 139.2% or by 1,147 tonnes to 1,971 tonnes, output of sausages by 25% or by eight tonnes to 40 tonnes, semi-finished meat products by 21.29% or 178 tonnes to 1,014 tonnes, by-products by 186.96% or 129 tonnes to 198 tonnes, on year.

 

According to the company's representative, the growth in production accounts for an increase in sales in the Ukrainian market and higher exports of produce.

 

In all, Koziatyn poultry farm produced 5,247 tonnes of finished products in January-June 2011, which is 54.78% or 1,857 tonnes less than the first half of 2010.

 

According to the Ukrainian media, the Koziatyn poultry farm boosted production by 23.5% or 376 tonnes to 1,976 tonnes in the first quarter of 2011 against January-March 2010.

 

The enterprise finished 2010 with the net profit of UAH5.326 million (US$667,900). In 2010, the poultry farm raised its net revenue by 24.55% or UAH34.036 million (US$4.3 million) to UAH172.689 million (US$21.7 million), as compared with 2009.

 

In 2010, the Koziatyn poultry farm upped output by 12.9% compared to 2009.

 

Founded in 1926, the Koziatyn poultry farm is an open joint-stock enterprise that engages in meat processing and production of beef, pork, sausages, and semi-finished meat.

 

The OSI International Holding GmbH (Germany) owns 95.037% of the shares in the Koziatyn poultry farm.
