Bright Dairy and Food Co Ltd announced August 2 that the company began to construct the state key dairy biotechnology laboratory, the first of its kind in China.
This laboratory is an important part of national innovation system, aiming to promote and solve major advanced problems of biotechnology in the development of Chinese dairy industry.
Sources said that the laboratory will mainly concentrate on the quality and safety control of raw milk and dairy products, the theory and technology of new dairy fermentation, the research and development of functional dairy products, and the comprehensive use of new cheese and its by-product.
In addition, the project includes cattle breeding, fast test technology of raw milk and the construction of the overall traceability system of dairy products, among others.
