ANDRITZ Feed & Biofuel appoints new vice president of business unit capital
ANDRITZ Feed & Biofuel, a division of ANDRITZ that serves the animal feed and pet food industries, appointed Marco Baumann to vice president of business unit capital last June.
Baumann previously served as the company's animal feed industry director, establishing ANDRITZ as a leading international partner of plant solutions for feed producers.
He will support ANDRITZ's Feed & Biofuel segment, developing long-term customer relationships and aiding in the company's sustainability and growth goals. He will also focus on tackling global challenges, specifically in feeding a constantly growing world population.
"ANDRITZ is a company that is ever-evolving, and to be a part of that evolution is an opportunity I take very seriously," Baumann said. "At present, we face fundamental challenges in terms of feeding the global population and addressing environmental issues such as reducing CO2 emissions. They must be faced head on, and we are uniquely placed as a business to make a tangible impact — from pioneering the process changes required to use alternative proteins in feed, to optimising biomass fuel production.
"Our customers trust our expertise, knowledge and capability to deliver plant solutions of all sizes, and our strategy is one of continuous improvement — advancing our ability to deliver even greater benefits going forward."
Baumann will use his extensive experience in plant engineering and business economics to provide ANDRITZ's customers with in-depth knowledge on overcoming obstacles within the feed and biofuel industries.
As part of his new position with ANDRITZ, Baumann will represent the company at Victam Asia, held in Bangkok, Thailand, on September 7-9.
