Russia stops meat exports from Brazil

After banning meat exports from 37 more Brazilian plants, the total number of meat plants not permitted to export meat to Russia reached 126, according to the Rosselkhoznadzor regulator.

According to Reuters, Russia earlier banned shipments from 89 plants in Parana, Mata Grosso and Rio Grande do Sul effective June 15, citing problems with production conditions in the South American country.

Brazil's agriculture ministry has said there is no technical basis for the decision.
