Ukraine to export more dairy products to Russia
Ukraine is intending to increase dairy exports to Russia, said Ukraine's Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk in an on-line conference.
"Next week, I am planning to visit the Russian Federation, there will a meeting with Vice Premier Viktor Zubkov and the ministry leaders in order to intensify work in this direction," Prysiazhniuk said.
Last year, Ukraine's trade in dairy products increased by 80%, during the first half of 2011; trading volumes with Russia also increased, according to the Minister.
Earlier, a joint inspection of Ukrainian enterprises was held by specialists of Rosselkhoznadzor and the State Veterinary Service of Kazakhstan on June 6-17, 2011. Rossekhoznadzor revealed non-compliance with veterinary-sanitary requirements and norms of Russia and the Customs Union at 21 Ukrainian meat and milk processing enterprises.
