Ukraine to export 45 million tonnes of grains in 2017
Ukraine will be able to export almost 30 million tonnes of grains in 2015 and 45 million tonnes of grain in 2017, according to the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, President of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Mykola Bezuglyi.
According to APK-Inform Information agency, he also said that Ukraine can initiate creation of the world supply volumes of grains, which would be owned by, for example, the World Organisation of Agriculture and Food under the UN aegis.
The ministry plans to create such reserve volumes of grains in Ukraine at the level of 10 million tonnes. By 2015, the production volumes will total 80 million tonnes of grains, the domestic consumption will reach 35 million tonnes, up 10 million tonnes compared to the current year due to development of animal husbandry and the use of corn for industrial purposes, explained Bezuglyi.
