Thousands of chickens dead at Moy Parks farm following UK heatwave
A recent heatwave in the UK has led to the death of thousands of chickens at a farm controlled by Moy Parks, a major UK food company, Insider reported.
Workers at the farm in Lincolnshire were spotted laying carcasses outside the farm's buildings. They expressed concern that the deaths might upset animal activists.
Meanwhile, a Moy Parks spokesperson blamed "recent high temperatures" for creating a difficult situation for the farming and poultry industries.
"We are working closely with our farming partners to monitor the situation and have implemented procedures to help protect our birds against the extreme heat," the spokesperson added.
