Denmark's pork exports up in Jan-Apr
Danish pork exports rose on-year during the first four months 2011, with the largest growth seen on Asian markets, in particular China and South Korea.
Exports amounted to DKK9.90 billion (US$1.91 billion) during the period, up from DKK9.10 billion (US$1.77 billion) a year earlier. The main markets for pork exports remain the UK, Germany and Poland.
During the first four months of 2011, exports to China grew significantly from DKK350 million (US$68 million) to DKK500 million (US$97 million) and South Korea from DKK43 million (US$8 million) to DKK208 million (US$40 million).
