US organic beef company appoints new COO
E&H Foods, a US organic grass-fed and grass-finished beef company, announced on July 26 that it promoted Danielle McDonald to the role of chief operating officer.
Additionally, E&H hired Verónica Medina as administrative assistant to support executive management with the growth of consumer brands Eel River Organic Beef and Pacific Pastures Organic.
"E&H Foods is an alliance of several small, independent, family owned and managed ranches, and as our production volume continues to grow, we needed to strengthen our management capabilities," said Clint Victorine, E&H Foods LLC's co-founder. "This promotion recognises Danielle's contributions and will enable us to continue our growth trajectory while meeting customer needs."
McDonald joined the company in 2020 as the director of operations. E&H said she is a seventh-generation rancher with family raising organic beef in Northern California, the United States, since 2005.
After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business and Management from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo in 2016, McDonald worked on organic beef production. She spent over six years in marketing and operations at another large producer now based out of Colorado, before joining the E&H Foods team.
McDonald said: "E&H Foods is enabling similar small-family operations to flourish, while our regenerative agricultural and husbandry practices are not just protecting the environment, but enhancing it. Being able to add my passion for the beef industry, management training and experience to a company that espouses everything I believe in is a true honor."
For its other hire, E&H said that Medina had worked in key support roles for other companies in Northern California. She is a graduate of UC Berkeley.
