Russian poultry producer Stavropol Broiler, and Netherlands' Meyn Food Processing, a global leader in production of poultry procession equipment, has agreed on an equipment supply contract valued at EUR 8.5 million (US$13.3 million).
Most of the contract sum, EUR 7 million (US$11 million), will cover equipment costs for the new poultry processing shop to be constructed at Blagodarnensky factory grounds commencing the third quarter of this year.
Construction of the new shop is the cornerstone of the earlier declared and successfully implemented investment program of Stavropol Broiler, which stipulates full modernisation of the company’s assets. The new shop is scheduled for completion by the third quarter of year 2009, when it is expected to start poultry processing.
The contract also includes partial replacement of equipment at Pyatigorsky factory, another daughter company of Stavropol Broiler.
