Ukraine's meat production in live weight rose by 4.4% or 9,100 tonnes in June to 214,900 tonnes on-month, according to the State Statistics Service.

Production of meat by private farms went up by 7.2% or 5,100 tonnes in June, compared with May, to 75,500 tonnes. Specialised farms increased meat production by 3% or 4,000 tonnes to 139,000 tonnes.

In June 2011, meat production grew by 4.5% or 9,200 tonnes compared with June 2010.

In January-June 2011, meat production increased by 6.3% or 85,700 tonnes to 1,452,100 tonnes, compared to the same period last year.
