Ukraine's Bershadmoloko dairy slices 9.5% of Q2 output

 

 

The Bershadmoloko milk processing enterprise of Ukraine (Floryne village, Bershad district, Vinnytsia region) has lessened output by 9.48% or by 2,090 tonnes in April-June 2011 against April-June 2010, to 19,955 tonnes, according to a company representative.

 

As compared with January-March 2010, Bershadmoloko boosted output by 34.24% or 5,090 tonnes.

 

In particular, Bershadmoloko trimmed output of whole milk products by 6.54% or by 1,188 tonnes in the second quarter against the second quarter of 2010, to 16,983 tonnes, sour milk products by 71.62% or 53 tonnes to 21 tonnes, condensed milk by 97.39% or 933 tonnes to 25 tonnes, cream by 10.56% or 15 tonnes to 127 tonnes, butter by 9% or 74 tonnes to 748 tonnes, as compared with the second quarter of 2010.

 

At that, the enterprise boosted output of powdered milk by 9.53% or by 171 tonnes to 1,965 tonnes, and casein by 2.38% or two tonnes to 86 tonnes.

 

Reduction in output is linked to the reduction in supplies of raw materials, representative of the plant added.

 

In all, Bershadmoloko produced 34,820 tonnes of dairy products, that is by 0.94% or 329 tonnes less than in the first half of 2010.

 

Earlier, Bershadmoloko upped production by 13.44% or by 1,761 tonnes to 14,865 tons, as compared with the corresponding quarter of 2010.

 

The Bershadmoloko milk processing enterprise finished 2010 with a net profit of UAH43.599 million (US$5.45 million), having trimmed its net revenue by 6.38% or 4,836 tonnes to 70,975 tonnes, as compared with 2009.

 

Roshen corporation (Kyiv) owns 86.02% of the shares in the Bershadmoloko public joint stock company, and the Central European Confectionary Company (Kyiv) owns 10.62% of the shares.

 

The Central European Confectionary Company is linked to the Kyiv-based Ukrainian Industrial and Investment Concern (Ukrprominvest).
