Tumbling soymeal prices decimate lysine demand in China
Lysine prices stayed unchanged during the week ending July 25.
Soymeal prices dropped prominently over the week, prompting feed millers to hold back procurements of lysine while contemplating reduced inclusion rates in feed formulation. Additionally, floods in several regions curtailed the demand for feed and hence lysine lately.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine remained in the range of RMB9.50-10/kg.
Lysine prices are expected to stay stable in the coming week.
