Japan purchases 105,156 tonnes of US corn
US corn exports to Japan amount 105,156 tonnes during the 2011/2012 marketing year, according to private exporters who reported to the USDA.
Corn marketing year started on September 1.
Any export sales activity of 100,000 tonnes or more of one commodity, made in a day to one place, must be reported to the USDA by 3 pm ET on the following business day after the sale. On the other hand, export sales which are less than 100,000 tonnes must be reported on a weekly basis.
