Russia to export 1.9 million tonnes of grain in July
Russia exported 1.4 million tonnes of grain between July 1 and July 20 and expects grain exports to reach 1.8-1.9 million tonnes in July, according to the Vice President of the Russian Grain Union, Alexander Korbut, on Monday (Jul 25).
On the other hand, First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov foresaw this month's grain exports to hit two million tonnes as Russia had already obtained orders for about seven million tonnes of grains. Grain is also exported to 33 countries presently, he added.
Moreover, Russian grain export potential in the 2011-12 marketing year is estimated at 20 million tonnes whereas Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said earlier that Russia could export 15 million tonnes of grain during this period of time.
