Estonian pork purchase prices increase

The average purchase price of pork has surged by 11% to reach EUR1,692/kg (US$2436), according to Statistics Estonia.

The purchase price of pork stayed the same for both May and June.

Meanwhile, the average purchase price of beef was EUR1.90/kg (US$2.74) last month or 11% more than May, and EUR1,728 (US$2488) or 5% higher than last June.

Estonia's producers bought a total of 30,200 pigs and 2,200 head of cattle last month whereas a total of 29,800 pigs and 2,700 head of cattle were purchased last June.
