Kazakhstan grain carry-over stocks at 3.46 million tonnes

 

 

Kazakhstan's carry-over stocks of the major grains as of July 1 totalled 3.46 million tonnes, including 3.28 million tonnes of wheat, according to the Agency of Statistics for the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

Agricultural production volumes also increased 1.5% in the first half of 2011.

 

Apart from grains, the carry-over stocks of the major oilseeds totalled 77,100 tonnes, including 48,600 tonnes of sunflower, 7,500 tonnes of soy, and 6,400 tonnes of rapeseed, reported Russian agribusiness information site AgriMarket.Info.

 

The gross production of commodities and services of the agricultural industry in Kazakhstan totalled KZT446.91 billion (US$3.06 billion), including plant-growing production at KZT10.95 billion (US$75 million), according to the agency.
