China's June corn imports plunge 83% on-year
China imported 11,233 tonnes of corn in June, a slump of 83% from the same period of last year, according to the latest data provided by the General Administration of Customs.
In the first half, the country's corn imports totalled 35,674 tonnes, down 60% on-year.
Meanwhile, its corn exports in the first six months also dropped 29% from the year earlier period to 57,108 tonnes.
