China's Changzhou starts construction of grain logistics base

Changzhou Grain Logistics Park, a technical demonstration base in China, has started construction, according to local media reports.

With a total investment of RMB 246 million (US$36 million), the park covers an area of 233 mu (15.5 hectares).

Changzhou is a city in the southern part of China's east coastal Jiangsu Province.

The grain logistics centre integrates a 125,000-tonne grain reserve depot with a distribution centre that would see distribution of 500,000 tonne of grains a year.

The major body of the park is expected to start operation this autumn.

As a key project in the service business of the city, the park is predicted to increase the local grain reserves, processing and distribution ability.
