Albania agriculture posts 28% growth in 1st semester

Agriculture, one of the Albania's 's leading sectors, showed an encouraging growth in the first half of the year, the Albanian Daily News reported on Thursday, July 21.

It said the country's exports of agricultural, livestock and food processing products in the first six months grew by 28% year-on-year, citing official data from the agriculture ministry.

Data showed farming and livestock products were the sectors contributing the most to the export growth, the data showed.

Exports of agricultural products in the first semester increased by 27% compared with the previous year ago, according to the agriculture ministry.
