Russian pork import increase in June

Russia's imported pork amounted US$212.7 million in June, which increased 1.6% as compared with the same period last year and declined 5% in contrast to May this year, according to the federal customs service on Friday (Jul 15).

The customs service did not give tonnages of the imports, only their value in dollars.

Poultry imports in June totalled US$62.2 million, 44.6% more than June last year and 3.7% more than May this year.

Beef imports in June totalled $267.4 million, 48.7% less than June 2010 and 4.7% less than May this year.
