Nestle recalls chicken product, fears of plastic presence
Nestle are voluntarily recalling 199,417 pounds of frozen stuffed chicken sandwich products over concerns that the food may contain pieces of plastic.
The particular products being recalled are the 9-ounce boxes of Lean Pockets Spinach Artichoke Chicken. The recalled products have a "Best Before" date of November 2009 and a package coding starting with "8144544616". The establishment number "P7721A" is printed on the side of the package.
The products were produced on May 23 and distributed to stores nationwide. They were recalled after consumers lodged complaints to Nestle and two injuries were reported to the company.
The US Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) have not received any complaints so far.
