India to sell wheat in domestic markets to cool inflation
India is likely to sell up to 6 million tonnes of wheat by March in some local markets in order to cool prices, the federal farm minister said Wednesday (July 16, 2008).
Wheat prices have increased in some parts of the country, Sharad Pawar said, adding that a decision will be made Thursday to sell some surplus wheat and wheat from strategic reserves in those areas.
