Ukrainian grain exports increase in May
In May 2011, grain exports rose by 29.1% or 259,630 tonnes in contrast to the same period last year, to 1,152,400 tonnes at US$307.35 million.
Grain exports in May 2011 increased by a factor of 2.8 or 734,440 tonnes compared to April 2011.
In January-May 2011, grain exports decreased by 42.4% or 2,786,470 tonnes to 3,779,540 tonnes at US$986.41 million, as compared with January-May 2010.
According to the media, in April 2011, grain exports fell by 64.5% or 757,980 tonnes compared to April 2010, to 417,960 tonnes at US$116.02 million.
In 2010, grain exports decreased by 48.7% or 12,549,150 tonnes compared with 2009, to 13,195,840 tonnes at US$2,324.75 million.
