ADM lead director named Director of the Year

Archer Daniels Midland Company has announced that the company's lead director, Donald E. Felsinger, was recently recognised as 2016's 'Director of the Year' by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), a leading nonprofit membership organisation for corporate board members.

Felsinger joined ADM's Board of Directors in August 2009 and currently serves as its lead director and member of the executive committee.

"We congratulate Don on being recognised as the 2016 Director of the Year by the National Association of Corporate Directors," said Juan Luciano, ADM's chairman and CEO. "Don has demonstrated extraordinary leadership as the lead director of our board over the past two years. With his insights, we have enhanced a number of corporate governance measures to drive increased transparency and better represent shareholder interests."

"Don has engaged with shareholders to gain valuable feedback on ADM's corporate governance while acting as a great advocate for ADM's board and management," Luciano added. "From a personal standpoint, Don has been a close and trusted adviser, and I have benefited from his experience and expertise."

The Director of the Year honor is part of the NACD's 2016 NACD Directorship 100, the annual list that recognises the leading corporate directors, corporate-governance experts, policymakers and influencers who significantly impact boardroom practices and performance. For nearly four decades, NACD has recognised individual directors who serve as role models in promoting exemplary board leadership, oversight and courage in the boardroom.
