Ukraine exports nearly 500,000 tonnes of corn in June
This is more than the double of an average of 177.800 tonnes in the nine months of 2007/08 MY, when the country exported a total of 1.6 million tonnes, reported IA APK-Inform.
The figure is also five times the monthly average of 113,300 tonnes during the same period of 2006/07 MY.
Turkey, which imported 102.100 tonnes of grain, was the lead buyer of Ukrainian corn. Russia bought 67.000 tonnes while Italy bought 57.200 tonnes.
