Cherkizovo announces operating results for June and Q2 2021
Cherkizovo Group has announced on July 12 its operating results for June and the second quarter of 2021.
Highlights of the second quarter are as followed:
- Cherkizovo's chicken sales volume of 190.5 thousand tonnes represents a 13% increase year-on-year. Sales growth to the foodservice customers, recovery following lockdowns of the previous year and demand from export clients were crucial to the quarter's volume growth, Cherkizovo said. Average sales price increased by 25% year-on-year.
- Cherkizovo's live pork production volumes of 61.0 thousand tonnes represents a 20% decline year-on-year. Its live pork sales were cut in the first quarter. Furthermore, sales of pork carcass declined by 36% year-on-year, while sales prices were up 32% year-on-year. Sales of pork cuts increased by 59% year-on-year to 10.8 thousand tonnes with average selling price up by 16% year-on-year.
- As for Cherkizovo's ready-to-eat (RTE) meat processing segment, sales volume increased by 27% year-on-year and amounted to 34.1 thousand tonnes. This increase was driven by, among other factors, the consolidation of recently acquired assets in the Russian North-Western region. Average sales price of the segment increased by 12% year-on-year, as Cherkizovo boosted sales of its Cherkizovo Premium branded products.
