Lysine prices stabilise in China as buyers withhold buying

Lysine prices were mostly unchanged during the week ending July 11.

Soymeal prices plunged over the week, prompting feed millers, who have stockpiled supplies, to limit purchases. Moreover, hog feed producers turned cautious as the prices of hog have tumbled 10% over the past four weeks.

Nonetheless, with supplies tight while several producers halt operation for routine maintenance, lysine market remained stable despite subdued demand.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were in the range of RMB9.40-10/kg.
