Lower output, improved export demand lend support to China lysine market
Lysine prices were mostly unchanged during the week ending July 9.
Domestic demand for lysine was limited as hog farming continued to suffer losses while animal population remained low. Nonetheless, a diminished output, in conjunction with improved export demand amid a sharply lower renminbi, helped to hold prices of lysine stable over the week.
Price quotes of 70-percent lysine stayed stable at RMB4.40-4.60/kg.
