China buys 9.43 million tonnes of domestic wheat


China purchased a total of 9.43 million tonnes of wheat from 2011's crop as of June 25, according to statistics released by the State Grain Administration on July 5.


State-owned grain enterprises bought 6.13 million tonnes of wheat, accounting for 65% of the total amount.


The Ministry of Agriculture earlier said that China would reap an output increase of winter wheat for the eighth straight year.
